Oral Cancer Awareness Month

This is one example of what a dentist would be checking for during a routine oral examination. We weren’t able to hold our free screening this month, due to the pandemic, but want as many people to know about the signs and symptoms of oral cancer. If you notice anything in your mouth or any other symptoms PLEASE get checked out.

A graphic image showing a slightly elevated crater form and firm asymmetrical lesion were found on routine oral examination of the left lateral soft palette.

Diagnosis: Squamous cell carcinoma
